Tri-City Electric Power Testing Solutions provides a Power Quality Study to Iowa School
October 17, 2011
Tri-City Electric Power Testing Solutions, headed by General Manager Fran Junion was recently contacted by Dubuque Community Schools. Carver Elementary, a school that opened in 2007 was experiencing higher than average failure rates on electronics such as; computers, monitors, projectors, bulbs and other equipment. Tri-City Power Testing Solutions, a division of Tri-City Electric Co. was called in to conduct a power quality study to determine a possible cause.
Tri-City Power Testing Solutions reported hundreds of voltage swells were measured on the panels during the power survey. The power study showed the average voltage levels at the school measured between 124 and 125 volts, and recommended the secondary voltage to Carver be lowered by 5 percent on the primary transformer that provides power to the school.
Whether it's performing proactive root cause analysis services (RCA), providing on-site safety PPE services or acceptance/maintenance testing, the Tri-City Electric Co. team has the experience to ensure your power distribution system is running at maximum efficiency.
