NMAPC Recognizes Tri-City Electric Co. for Zero Injury Safety Awards Program
The National Maintenance Agreements Policy Committee, Inc. (NMAPC) awarded Tri-City Electric Co., ALCOA and the IBEW Local 145 a 2003 NMAPC Zero Injury Safety Award. After thorough review of the numerous applications that were submitted to NMAPC for consideration, the NMAPC Zero Recordable Injury Award – Category B (less than 200,000 workhours but no less than 50,000 workhours) was presented to Tri-City Electric Co. as the Contractor, ALCOA Davenport Works as the Owner/Client and the IBEW Local 145 as the Building Trades Organization.
Tri-City Electric Co. was founded in 1895 as an electrical contractor and supplier. Today, the organization is a nationally-ranked top 100 electrical contractor and has established itself as one of the Midwest's premiere specialty contractors providing electrical construction, telephone and voice mail systems, data communications, engineering and integration, testing and preventive maintenance, security and access systems, document management and 24-hour emergency services. Tri-City Electric Co. is headquartered in Davenport, Iowa and maintains an office in Galesburg, Illinois.
The NMAPC is the construction industry's first incorporated labor-management committee. The NMAPC administers the National Maintenance Agreements, which is collective bargaining agreement utilized by over 3,000 industrial contractors employing the members of fourteen participating building trades international unions everyday throughout the United States of America. The NMAPC Program is a cost-effective way for industrial maintenance contractors and skilled Building Trades Craft personnel to perform maintenance and repair work for America's industrial and manufacturing base.
