IMPACT Safety Award Presented to Tri-City Electric Co.
The Illowa Construction Labor and Management Council and the Illowa Safety Committee recognized Tri-City Electric Co. during their second annual Safety Awards Luncheon on April 11, 2005. The award was presented for outstanding achievement in accident prevention during the 2004 calendar year.
Tri-City Electric Co. was one of 17 businesses in Iowa and Illinois to receive an award for promoting safety programs and reducing OSHA recordable injuries among their employees.
Tri-City Electric Co. was founded in 1895 as an electrical contractor and supplier. Today, the organization is a nationally-ranked top 100 electrical contractor and has established itself as one of the Midwest's premiere specialty contractors providing electrical construction, telephone and voice mail systems, data communications, engineering and integration, testing and preventive maintenance, security and access systems, document management and 24-hour emergency services. Tri-City Electric Co. is headquartered in Davenport, Iowa.
The Illowa Construction Labor and Management Council, based in Moline, Illinois, is a non-profit organization that promotes local union construction contractors and a project labor agreement called the IMPACT Agreement. IMPACT stands for Increasing Markets Productivity and Construction Teamwork. From the labor management perspective it fosters a cooperative relationship that is good for business. From the owner/user perspective, it assures the primary goal of completion of a quality project on the most cost-efficient timely basis.
