Tri-City Electric Co. Receives Excellence in Commerce Award
Tri-City Electric Co. was presented the Excellence in Commerce Award at the 2005 Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Meeting. Doug Palmer, President of Tri-City Electric Co., accepted the award during formal ceremonies on September 29, 2005 at The MARK of the Quad Cities.
The Excellence in Commerce Award is a new program of the Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce meant to recognize Quad City companies that are excelling in commerce. Any business that is an Illinois Quad City Chamber of Commerce member was eligible for the award. Sixteen nominees were reviewed and three were selected to receive the award: Group O Companies, KJWW Engineering Consultants and Tri-City Electric Co.
Tri-City Electric Co. was founded in 1895 as an electrical contractor and supplier. Today, the organization is a nationally-ranked top 100 electrical contractor and has established itself as one of the Midwest's premiere specialty contractors providing design/build, electrical construction, telephone and voice mail systems, data communications, engineering and integration, testing and preventive maintenance, security and access systems, document management and 24-hour emergency services. Tri-City Electric Co. is headquartered in Davenport, Iowa and maintains offices in Galesburg, Illinois; Des Moines, Iowa; and Ames, Iowa.
