Accounts Payable Specialist – Davenport, IA
Tri-City Electric Co. is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA. The Accounts Payable Specialist will compile and maintain accounts payable records.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and management approval prior to payment
- Performing receipt of job related purchase orders in system
- Entering invoices and images into accounting system
- Researching invoice issues and working with the purchasing department to resolve
- Distributing signed checks as required
- Answering vendor inquiries
- Maintaining accounts payable reports and spreadsheets
- Assisting in monthly accounts payable closings
- Preparing analysis of accounts as required
- Performing filing and coping
- Assisting with front desk coverage as needed
Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma with some college, two years of accounts payable experience and/or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidates must possess strong attention to detail, focus on accuracy, solid communication skills, positive initiative and judgement, the ability to maintain confidentiality, problem solve and meet deadlines, and be organized.
