Office Assistant – Davenport, IA
Tri-City Electric Co. is currently seeking an Office Assistant for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA. The Office Assistant’s primary function is to compile and maintain accounts payable records while assisting with other general office functions.
Main duties include but are not limited to:
- Assisting Accounts Payable Supervisor as needed with the following:
- Reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and management approval prior to payment
- Performing receipt of job related purchase orders in system
- Entering invoices and images into accounting system
- Researching invoice issues and working with the purchasing department to resolve
- Distributing signed checks as required
- Answering vendor inquiries
- Maintaining accounts payable reports and spreadsheets
- Assisting in monthly accounts payable closings
- Preparing analysis of accounts as required
- Performing filing and coping
- Assisting in front desk coverage
- Assisting Human Resources, Safety, Marketing and Purchasing as needed
- Assisting Division Managers with clerical tasks as needed
Qualified candidates will previous clerical experience related to general office projects and accounts payable. Candidates must have strong organizational skills as well as good interpersonal and communication skills.
