A new 240,000 sq. ft., seven-story tower at Genesis Medical Center East includes 16 large surgical suites, inpatient rooms and an expanded emergency department, which allow the hospital to improve quality of care, safety of care and convenience to patients. Other features in the new building include a pharmacy, coffee shop, gift shop, admissions, emergency department and conference rooms. The project is truly a community-focused healthcare facility.
The smallest newly build operating room is larger than the largest operating room that the hospital was previously utilizing. The $150 million construction and renovation project completed by Genesis Health System, represents one of the largest single financial investments in Quad City history.
