Junior Achievement of the Heartland Celebrates Business Leadership at the Quad Cities Area Business Hall of Fame

Thursday, June 8 at Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel, Rock Island

Moline, IL – Junior Achievement of the Heartland will induct the 2023 Class of Laureates into the Quad Cities Area Business Hall of Fame on Thursday, June 8. This year’s Class of Laureates includes Mark Kilmer, President, The Republic Companies, Dan Palmer, CEO, and Doug Palmer, President, Tri-City Electric Co., and posthumously, Jim Victor, Executive Director and Financial Advisor, Morgan Stanley.

The Quad Cities Area Business Hall of Fame celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit of the Quad Cities by sharing true success stories of business leaders in our community. The 2023 Laureates were selected for their entrepreneurial achievements, their adherence to the highest moral and ethical principles, and their demonstrated community involvement. They join 73 other laureates previously inducted.

In addition to the induction of the Laureates, JA of the Heartland will also recognize Maria Ontiveros, President & Co-Founder, Mercado of Fifth, as the 2023 Young Entrepreneur and Alvaro C. Macias, VP of Business Development, Ascentra Credit Union, as the 2023 Outstanding Junior Achievement Volunteer.

All honorees will be formally recognized by Junior Achievement of the Heartland during the sold out Quad Cities Area Business Hall of Fame on Thursday, June 8 at Bally’s Quad Cities Casino & Hotel in Rock Island, Illinois. The event begins at 5:30 pm and includes a reception, dinner, and induction ceremony.
