Tri-City Electric Company of Iowa wins 2021 Project Excellence Award from National Electrical Contractors Association for the Amazon Fulfillment Center Project
Tri-City Electric Company of Iowa, an electrical contractor based in Davenport, Iowa was recently recognized by the National Electrical Contractors Association with a NECA Project Excellence Award in Industrial Category for the Amazon Fulfillment Center project.
NECA established the Project Excellence Award to showcase the exceptional work that its members perform throughout the country. Tri-City Electric Company of Iowa was recognized along with this year’s other winners during NECA 2021 Nashville.
The 2,813,284 sq. ft, four-story Amazon Fulfillment Center in Bondurant, IA employs approximately 1,000 people that work alongside robots to pick and pack items for distribution. The facility consists of a warehouse, distribution/fulfillment center and has more than 2,000 parking spaces. Our Electrical Construction and Structured Cabling teams worked together to install LED lighting, ILC Lighting Control System, Generator, UPS and Fire Alarm cabling throughout the facility. Tri-City Electric Co. worked closely with the owners and the construction team to provide a project schedule defining the design, procurement, and construction of the project, along with a detailed execution plan.
