The 10,000 sq. ft. office and warehouse expansion of the River Bend Food Bank was designed to increase the non-profit’s food storage capacity and distribution capabilities, helping them to better serve the food needs of twenty-three (23) counties along Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. The project roughly doubled the space available for volunteers at the food bank and added a training/break area for them and the new office space will help to accommodate future hires. Manufacturers will benefit from added space and improved loading docks to drop off donated food. Our electrical team installed lighting, new electrical panels, transformers, and equipment for the addition. They also installed additional parking lot lighting and replaced the food bank’s existing generator with a newer and larger unit. The Tri-City Group worked closely with the owners and the construction team to provide a project schedule defining the design, procurement, and construction of the project, along with a detailed execution plan.
