Pleasant Valley Community School District has grown significantly in recent years. To keep pace, the district expanded both PV Junior High in LeClaire, IA and Forest Grove Elementary in Bettendorf, IA bringing in the Tri-City Group.

At the Junior High, the project included a 29,400-sq.ft. addition and 8,400 sq.ft. renovation, with full remodels of the Family and Consumer Science classrooms, staff offices, and teachers’ lounge. Tri-City added a standby generator to the courtyard, and when the new addition extended over existing medium-voltage utility infrastructure, crews bored new conduit around the building’s footprint and coordinated with MidAmerican Energy on the splices needed to refeed the transformer.

At Forest Grove Elementary, the 14,800-sq.ft. addition added twelve (12) new classrooms and a full set of restrooms. Across both sites, Tri-City Group provided electrical construction, structured cabling, audio/visual, and fire alarm systems, supplied materials for the security systems and assisted with rebar.

The Tri-City Group worked closely with the owners and the construction team to provide a project schedule defining the design, procurement, and construction of the project, along with a detailed execution plan to support Pleasant Valley Community School District’s continued growth for years to come.
